Privacy Policy — Mundo
Mundo (“the app”, “we”) is a cross-country dating app that lets adults meet people across countries, cultures and languages. This policy explains what we collect, why, where it is stored, and the choices you have.
Information we collect

How we use your information
- To create and operate your account and profile.
- To show you potential matches and let you and your matches message each other.
- To keep the community safe — age enforcement, moderation, blocking, reporting and fraud prevention.
- To show advertising that keeps the app free, subject to your consent where required.
Photos & inappropriate-content screening
Your profile photos are part of your public profile and are visible to other Mundo members in discovery and chat. When you add a photo, the image is first sent to an automated image-moderation model hosted by Hugging Face to check that it is not explicit (nudity / sexual content); photos that fail this check are rejected and not uploaded. Accepted photos are compressed and stored in our database. Our moderators can remove any photo or account that breaks our guidelines.
Service providers we share data with
Your public profile (name, age, photos, country, bio, interests) is visible to other Mundo users. We use the following providers as data processors:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Messaging) — hosts your account, profile, photos and messages. See Firebase’s privacy information.
- Google AdMob — advertising. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Google User Messaging Platform — to gather ad-consent where required.
- Hugging Face — runs the automatic photo-moderation check described above.
We do not sell your personal data.
Advertising
Mundo shows ads from Google AdMob (banner, occasional full-screen interstitial, and an optional rewarded ad you choose to watch). Google’s advertising SDK collects and processes limited data — for example your device’s advertising identifier and approximate IP-based location — to serve and measure ads, governed by Google’s policies. If you live where consent is required (the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or a US state with applicable privacy law), the app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to gather consent or serve non-personalized ads (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA). You can reopen these choices from Settings → Ad privacy options.
Your choices & rights
- Edit or remove your profile details and photos at any time in the app.
- Pause your profile so you are not shown to new people (Settings → Pause my profile).
- Block and report other users from any chat or profile — reports are confidential.
- Manage ad-consent from Settings → Ad privacy options.
- Delete your account and data by contacting us (below). Deleting your account removes your profile, photos, swipes, matches and messages.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we delete your personal data, except limited records we must keep for safety, legal or fraud-prevention purposes.
Security
Data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure with access controlled by security rules. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Children
Mundo is for adults 18 and over only. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes are reflected by the “last updated” date above.
