Privacy Policy — PawPal

Last updated: 8 June 2026 (v1.0)

What this app is

PawPal is a pet-care companion. You can create profiles for your pets, log vaccinations and vet visits, track weight over time, set feeding, walk and medication reminders, and build a shareable pet ID card. Everything you enter is stored locally on your device. There are no user accounts and no cloud sync.

What this app collects

PawPal does not collect any personal information that identifies you, and nothing you enter leaves your device (except when you explicitly tap “Share ID card”).

Reminders & notifications

Feeding, walk, medication and vet reminders are scheduled on your device using Android’s alarm and notification system. The reminder content stays on your device. On Android 13+ the app asks for notification permission so it can alert you at the times you set.

Sharing the pet ID card

The “Share ID card” feature builds a plain-text summary of a pet (the details you entered) and hands it to Android’s standard share sheet only when you tap it. You choose where it goes (messages, email, etc.). The app itself does not send this anywhere.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

To keep PawPal free, the app shows advertising through Google’s AdMob SDK (a banner, occasional full-screen ads, and an app-open ad). To serve ads, AdMob may process your device’s advertising identifier and IP address. You can reset or limit your advertising ID under Android > Settings > Privacy > Ads.

EEA / UK / Switzerland consent (UMP)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to show a consent form so you can manage ad choices. Your choice is stored locally by the UMP SDK and respected when loading ads.
