Privacy Policy — ResumeForge AI

What this app collects

ResumeForge AI does not collect any personal information from you. The app does not have user accounts, does not ask for your name or email, and does not record your behaviour on a server we control.

How resumes and other content are generated

When you tap a forge / write / audit / generate button, the app sends a short text prompt — built from the mode you chose (Build CV, Cover Letter, ATS Optimize, Interview Prep, or Refine Bullets), the brief or text you typed, the industry, and the seniority level — to Pollinations’ free public text API at https://text.pollinations.ai/openai. Pollinations returns the answer which the app shows on the Generate screen.

No photo, contact, or device identifier is sent. Only the plain-text prompt you implicitly created by filling in the form is transmitted.

AI-generated content disclosure

Resumes, cover letters, ATS audits, interview questions, and rewritten bullets are generated by a third-party large language model. AI writers can be inaccurate, incomplete, or occasionally make up details such as employers, dates, or credentials that sound plausible but never happened. Always proofread, fact-check, and personalize every CV, cover letter, and audit response before sending it to a real employer. ResumeForge AI and the developer are not responsible for the correctness of generated content, hiring outcomes, or any consequence of using fabricated details. The app is a drafting aid, not professional career, legal, or HR advice.

Network connections

The History tab and Settings run entirely on your device. The internet is used for: (1) Google AdMob to load ads (see “Advertising” below), and (2) sending the prompt to Pollinations when you tap a generate button (see above). The app requires an active internet connection to open — you will see a “No internet connection” screen when offline.

PDF export

When you tap Export PDF on a generated CV, cover letter, or audit, the PDF is built entirely on your device and saved to your phone’s Downloads/ResumeForge/ folder. No copy is uploaded anywhere. You decide whether to share the PDF later (for example by email or messaging) using your phone’s share sheet.

Permissions the app requests

The app does not request photo, contacts, location, microphone, camera, notifications, or any other sensitive permission. PDF export uses Android’s built-in MediaStore Downloads collection on Android 10+ and the app’s own external-files folder on older versions — no storage permission is needed.

Advertising

ResumeForge AI shows ads provided by Google AdMob in four formats: banner (small strip at the bottom of every screen), interstitial (occasional full-screen ad after several generations), app-open (full-screen ad when you bring the app back to the foreground), and rewarded (an optional full-screen ad you can choose to watch in exchange for an extra generation past the per-session free allowance). Google’s advertising SDK collects and processes limited data — for example, your device’s advertising identifier and approximate IP-based location — to serve and measure ads. This is governed by Google’s policies:

If you live in a region where consent is required (the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or a US state with applicable privacy law), the app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) or sets npa=1 (non-personalized ads) so it stays compliant with GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA.

Children

ResumeForge AI is intended for adult job-seekers and students preparing for the workforce. It is not classified as a “family” app on Google Play, and the AdMob ad content is mixed-audience.
