What this app collects
Spelling, Dictionary & Translator does not collect any personal information from you. The app does not have user accounts, does not ask for your name or email, and does not record your behavior on a server we control.

Network connections
The app uses the internet to:
- Grammar / spelling / translation requests — when you tap Check, the text you enter is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to be analyzed, then the suggestions are shown back to you. Anthropic’s use of API request data is governed by their privacy policy. No account or identifier of you is sent — only the text you type.
- Word images / definitions — fetched from public dictionary endpoints when you look up a word. Only the word is sent.
- Google AdMob — to load and show ads (see “Advertising” below).
Beyond what is listed above, the app does not send anything you type or any personal data to any server we control.
Permissions the app requests
- Internet / network state — required only for the network connections listed above. The app’s core calculations run on your device.
The app does not request location, contacts, storage, microphone, camera, notifications, or any other sensitive permission.
Advertising
Spelling, Dictionary & Translator shows ads provided by Google AdMob. Google’s advertising SDK collects and processes limited data — for example, your device’s advertising identifier and approximate IP-based location — to serve and measure ads. This is governed by Google’s policies:
If you live in a region where consent is required (the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or a US state with applicable privacy law), the app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) or sets npa=1 (non-personalized ads) so it stays compliant with GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA.
Children
This app is not directed at children under 13 and is not classified as a “family” app on Google Play.
